Hello, this is the Ddungddang family. Today I'd like to leave a review of poet Baek Mu-san's collection 『Someone Is Keeping Me Alive』, which stayed with me for a long time. The woodcut-like image on the cover was already striking, and it was a collection that kept me sitting blankly with the book closed for a while even after I finished it. I'll share my impressions focusing on the four poems that especially caught my heart. About a Train – Why Are We Running Like This

Hello? This is the Ddungddang family. Man, but this summer in Yangsan was really something... It hit an all-time record high and was complete hell. Have I been neglecting the blog too much? This is a somewhat old visit review, but... I found photos from a trip to 'Mulgeum Railroad Crossing' next to Hwangsan Park when the spring breeze was blowing. A Review of Kim Yong-taek's Poetry Collection 『The Green Light of That Day』

Hello? This is Ddungttang's family. Today I'd like to write an honest review of poet Kim Yong-taek's 『The Green Light of That Day』. It was a collection I loved from the cover. Looking at the cover, where a green forest spreads like watercolor, I felt like I was already taking a walk somewhere deep in the woods before even opening the book. The line "There's no point in a thrill, damn it!" made me laugh out loud

A Review of Heo Yeon's Poetry Collection 『Peonies and an Empty Lot』

Hello? This is the Ddungddang family. The moment I opened this book, with its blue cover and simple line drawing, I sensed something unusual. If I had to describe this collection in one word, it's "funny-sad." It's funny yet sad, trivial yet deep. Jirimalryeol (支離滅裂): a state of being scattered and torn this way and that, impossible to grasp. Not fitting together front to back and lacking system or unity. Yes, that's exactly my life. 😅 It felt oddly welcoming because it resembled my daily life, where everything is scattered in jirimalryeol fashi

Hello? This is the Ddungddang family. If you've spent any time on the internet, you've heard it at least once, right? The legendary phrase "Busan full course." Yet the accepted academic consensus is that nobody actually knows what that 'full course' consists of. Is it one plate of raw fish and done, or being held captive for three days and two nights drinking only soju... It was a mystery in itself. Maybe the one day I enjoyed was the Busan full course?

A Review of Lee Sang-guk's Poetry Collection 『I Lived Without Even Forgiving』

Hello? This is the Ddungddang family. When I first saw this collection, honestly I hesitated because of the title. 'I Lived Without Even Forgiving' — doesn't it sound like the heavy confession of someone who has half-wrapped up their life? The cover, with blue paint bleeding across it, also looks soft and deep. But the moment I actually turned the first page... it was completely unexpected. Far more honest than I expected, and in some ways even cu

This time it's a detached house, no less! I'll be posting a detailed review on YouTube. I'll write out only the parts that need to be left in writing.
