A Quietly Comforted Time: A Book Review of Do Jong-hwan's 《I Should Go to the Quiet》
Hello? This is the Ddungddang family. Lately my days have been so busy and chaotic that I needed a short pause. Then I happened to come across poet Do Jong-hwan's 《I Should Go to the Quiet》, and even the title seemed to poke right at my heart. Before I forget how it felt to read it, I'm leaving a short book review. The poem 'Cherry Blossoms' was especially impressive. Even on a day when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, just sitting on the bench

Reading the line that says staying seated on the bench even on a day when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom is not 'a courtesy to my own life',
it was a poem any office worker could relate to.
I hope all of us stop running while looking only straight ahead,
and live while keeping courtesy toward ourselves.
In a noisy world, I feel like I've been given a moment of 'quiet' as a gift.
If your mind is complicated or you want to be quietly comforted, I definitely recommend giving it a read.
