[Young Adult Novel Recommendation] I'm Canceling My Confession Insurance - The Very Book Ddungttang Read 10 Times!

Hello? This is the Ddungddang family.

Today I'd like to introduce an entertaining young adult novel that our family's reading champion Ddungttang has read until the pages wore out.

It's author Ko Su-jin's 『I'm Canceling My Confession Insurance』.

Doesn't the title really spark your curiosity?

A peek inside the book: the novel's protagonist, Nam Ji-on, develops romantic feelings for 'Hyeonho', a male friend she's been close with since childhood.

But she's on edge, afraid that if she confesses and gets rejected, even their precious friendship will fall apart.

So, to express her feelings safely without getting hurt, Ji-on cleverly signs up for something called 'confession insurance'.

Will Ji-on's attempt actually succeed?

The Ddungddang Family’s Honest Take

I read this book on the KTX during a business trip, and it's a warm, fuzzy work that kept reminding me of a childhood crush.

I'm actually personally a little acquainted with author Ko Su-jin,

and reading this book I was surprised that, beyond the fresh, youthful romance, it deals with personal data and AI data training far more deeply than I'd expected.

Weaving trendy subject matter in so naturally — as expected, the author is the best! 👍

Above all, our Ddungttang found this book so fun that he read it more than 10 times.

Since even picky Ddungttang fell for it this hard, you can trust it as a 'Ddungttang pick'.

“There was a time that shone because we were clumsy”

After finishing the book, this line from the author's note stuck right in my heart.

"There was a time that shone because we were clumsy"

Though it's classified as a young adult novel, we were all clumsy, fresh teenagers once, weren't we?

I strongly recommend it to adults too, who want to feel that pure, fluttering emotion from back then one more time.

How about taking a trip down memory lane this weekend with 『I'm Canceling My Confession Insurance』, which will warm your heart?
