🤔 I Got a Planned Publishing Offer… So Why Did I Turn It Down?

Actually, I was lucky enough to receive a planned publishing offer from a publisher! At first I was really happy. I thought, “Wow, my writing has been recognized!” ✨

But as I actually met with them and discussed the details, my worries deepened.

❌ The design didn’t match my taste

Looking at that publisher’s existing books, the design and editing style seemed hopeless.

❌ Their way of handling work was frustrating

Communication wasn’t clear, and schedules and progress weren’t shared transparently, which made me anxious.

That’s when I thought: “This is my precious first book — I want to make it something I truly love!”

So I boldly declined the planned publishing offer and switched direction to self-publishing! 💪
