Jasujeong Cave Land: Explore a Former Amethyst Mine
Jasujeong Cave Land is a cave theme park in Ulju, developed inside tunnels once used to mine amethyst.

A former mine beneath Sinbulsan
Jasujeong Cave Land is a cave theme park in Ulju County, Ulsan, about 3 km southeast of Eonyang-eup. It stands at the entrance to Jakcheonjeong Valley, on the slopes of Sinbulsan, in a former amethyst mine.
The site covers about 500,000 square metres. Its connected mine tunnels run across two levels for about 2.5 km, with an interior area of about 16,500 square metres. The tunnels are broad enough for trucks to enter. Temperatures inside stay around 12–16°C throughout the year, making the cave relatively cool in summer and warm in winter.
Walk through themed cave spaces
Visitors can explore on foot, following a route through themed areas. Highlights include an exhibition hall showing amethyst geodes in granite formed 65 million years ago, a room for experiencing energy, a wishing cave, and an exhibition on the evolution of humankind.
Other spaces include a display of the culture and customs of the Dani people of Irian Jaya Island, Indonesia, and a cave media hall. The range of exhibits gives the walking course several different points of interest within the former mine.
See the underground lake by boat
A second way to tour the cave is by boat on an underground lake. This offers a different perspective from the walking route through the mine tunnels.
On the second level, Jurassic World features dinosaur sculptures and character-shaped lantern displays. It is arranged as a family-oriented attraction within the cave.
